The department of Botany has well developed infrastructure to support academic and research activities.

It has a departmental library to meet the needs of the students and faculty members. It also has internet facility for staff & students as Gargi College is a Wi-Fi enabled campus. The department has a museum (plant specimens with barcodes) and a well maintained botanical garden that caters to the requirement of classroom practical works and also enhances aesthetic value of the college.

It has seven laboratories: 4 for curriculum-based practicals and 3 research laboratories. 

• Molecular Biology Laboratory is equipped with thermocycler, gel electrophoresis, gel doc, centrifuge, vortexer, and magnetic stirrer.
• Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory is equipped with laminar flow, culture racks, weighing balance, autoclave, and refrigerator.
• Bioinformatics Laboratory and Students Laboratory (4) are fully equipped for curriculum-based practicals and project works.
