Iris, the photography society of Gargi College, is a space where each individual's unique talent finds a
way to highlight itself through different genres of photography. Being one of the top societies in the Delhi
University circuit, Iris consists of strong, creative women capturing the world through their lenses. We
foster a supportive and vibrant environment where creativity knows no bounds, always unveiling the
unexpected. Along with covering events and going on photowalks, the society organizes an annual studio
shoot and exhibition during the yearly fest "Reverie." Whether you enjoy shooting products, portraits,
commercials, or events, Iris is the perfect place to improve your skills and showcase your talents. The
society aims to provide sufficient resources for every member so they can explore different types of
photography styles and techniques, collaborate on exciting projects, and be part of a vibrant and
passionate group dedicated to the art of photography.

Iris, the photography society of Gargi College, aims to be a place where photography brings people
together. We empower each member to share their unique view of the world through their camera,
fostering a culture of creativity, acceptance, and teamwork. Iris is all about nurturing talent and
encouraging exploration of the artistic capabilities of our members. We ensure that everyone's story gets
told. We wish to make a lasting impact, not just at Gargi College but in the wider photography
community.

We also conducted a workshop on the basics of camera operation in collaboration with GStudios in August 2023. We also conducted a workshop on the basics of studio equipments in October. This was done to better prepare the members for the annual studio shoot. 

We conducted monthly photowalks to hone our skills and to collaborate with other colleges and build communities of photographers. We visited Potter’s Village in August 2023. In collaboration with Delhi Technological University (DTU), we organised another photowalk to Qutub Minar and Jahaz Mahal in September. In October, we organised a photowalk in Lodhi Art District in collaboration with The Fashion Crew, Miranda House (TFCMH). In January, all members participated in a photowalk to Red Fort. The photowalk in Purana Qila was conducted in collaboration with Tabeer JMC & Chimera ZHC on 18th February. In collaboration with Envision SBSC, we photographed the Spice Market, Khari Baoli on 9th March 2024. As a part of our routine, we also invited monthly submissions from members on various themes ranging from Allure Photography to Faceless Portraits and many more.
