Samarth - The Enabling Unit

About

The Enabling Unit of Gargi College is formed under the U.G.C. guidelines, which mandates the existence of such a body in every college that constitutes a part of the University of Delhi, with the explicit purpose of safeguarding the rights and working for the welfare of the students with disabilities.

Our objectives include promoting equity and equal opportunity for the PwD students, spreading awareness about the rights of PwDs, creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment in college, and ensuring that programmes for PwD students are implemented efficiently.

The Enabling Unit is made up of the Core Union and the volunteers, which work towards improving accessibility for PwD students, along with raising awareness on issues related to disability and inclusivity.
